Lilies on the Land is the touching, funny and revealing portrait of the unsung heroes of World War Two, the Women’s Land Army.

Based on one hundred and fifty letters and interviews with Land Girls, the play follows the personal journeys of of Vera, Peggy, Poppy and Margie as they adapt and deal with both the pressures of farming and the war itself.
G&T Theatre are proud to present one of Britain’s finest contemporary plays. This verbatim piece not only shines a light on a neglected part of history but also highlights these very personal and human stories.
