Croydon International Film Festival 2015 *Celebrating our third year in 2015! *
We are very excited to be running this festival for the third year now! Our aim is to provide a fun afternoon of independently made Factual short films. People of Croydon you are always a fantastic audience. This is for you. Our team remains very small and all of us work voluntarily. It has to remain fun for all of us or we wouldn’t keep doing it. Luckily we seem to have got the formulae right when we started the first festival in 2013, so we try not to change much each year. Our focus every year: 1. Great venue 2. Entertaining films 3. Organised and Friendly team

What kinds of films will we show?
Our festival is unique to Croydon in that it is the only short film festival to screen only Factual Films. Selected from over 150 films entered, just 27 films will be screened. To launch the festival, we will also screen a selection of silent films courtesy of the Croydon Museum, as well as a special feature of Radio Documentaries by Roland Denning featuring storyteller Sally Kindberg. A mixture of local and international films give our audiences the opportunity to view familiar stories with new perspectives, as well as see unfamiliar stories about people from around the world that would not ordinarily be seen on commercial television or on mainstream social media platforms. We try to choose films that have clever story telling and are entertaining. Documentary films need not be boring. The programming is accessible to all audiences; with a dose of humour thrown in as well. Our fabulous host: Last year we introduced Neil Ridulfa (who people might already know from Beats and Eats) as our Host. Neil did an amazing job and we look forward to seeing him centre stage again on the 28th November. Host Neil and Festival Director Donna will also be appearing on the Croydon Arts Show with Janet Smith on the 15th November and will be revealing a special preview from the festival.
